Singapore Business Federation Mission to Ghana & Nigeria: Our CEO Vikram Chand was part of the Singapore Business Federation Mission to Ghana & Nigeria in early October. Singapore Business Federation is a trade development organization that promotes Singapore based firms to successfully expand their operations outside Singapore. The delegation of 45 representatives from established corporations of Singapore went to Nigeria & Ghana for exploring opportunities of investments and business between Ghana and their firms.

Vega Foods secondary business teams were part of the F-1 night race challenge during the months of August and September. The contest was simple wherein the top 2 achievers would be declared the winners and would be called to Singapore to watch the Formula 1 Night race in the VIP box. The temptation was high and all the markets fought for the attractive prize. The winners came to Singapore and were handed over the trophy amidst fancy and fanfare, in the backdrop of the F1 practice session. The winners declared that the experience was pulsating and they would try and come back next year.

Vega Foods provided the people of Kampala, Uganda a taste of the delectable Vega Pasta during a Food Festival and backed it up with a scintillating Road show to promote Vega Foods products amongst the consumers and the trade. Kudos to our East African team for making this Food Festival & Road show possible.

The Vega Foods team of Singapore took some time out to undergo a session of experiential learning for augmenting it’s team bonding and team skills. The outbound program was organized in conjunction with Action Teams, an internationally renowned group focused on delivering team programs in unique settings. This program was set on the golden beach sand of Sentosa Islands. Each team was uniquely selected and painted their own team flags under which they raced in the final event, which was as exciting as the Formula -1 event at Singapore later.

Vega Foods was awarded the Global Trader Programme (GTP) Certification by the Singapore Government, in recognition of organization’s business achievements.

Vega Foods was present at Gulfood 2009, Dubai – the regions largest and most important event for the food and hospitality sector and provides a strategic platform for prospective business partners to conduct business face to face.

The Vega Foods Kumasi team along with the KAT Hospital authorities organized a blood donation exercise at Kumasi on a grand scale. The exercise held to build blood bank stocks for promoting quality care at the KAT Hospital. This exercise was sponsored by USF Ghana & Nhyria FM. All donors were gifted Vega milk, in appreciation of their good deed. The local hospital authorities expressed their appreciation to the USF team for helping on this noble cause.
