Social Responsibility

Vega is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility and it stems from our philosophy of realizing our obligation towards the society where live  and operate.
 
We at Vega believe in supporting our operating markets through programs aimed at the people and the environment, thereby giving us a 2 fold approach towards CSR:
a) People
b) Environment
 
a) People: Vega has undertaken societal development projects aimed at society development:

– Cassava Plantation: with a view to develop local trade and promote plantation of agriculture, Vega is embarking on setting of a processing  unit at Ghana. This will provide the local populace with employment opportunities apart from promoting local agriculture / trade

– Sports & Youth: Vega realized the need for substantial financial support required for promoting sports. The youth have superior skills to excel in sports and require structured training and coaching facilities to be acclaimed on a global platform. Vega owned up the Olympics effort of Ghana by becoming one of the official sponsor for the Ghana Olympics team. The same was appreciated by the local authorities, who presented Vega with the commemorative medal for the effort

 – Vega Foundation: Vega is spearheading the setting up of a development fund aimed at generating a corpus for the development of trade and commerce in the African Continent. The CEO of Vega Foods is personally involved in this project and led a campaign of YPO – Singapore Chapter (Young President s Organisation) members for familiarizing the developed world with challenges of Africa
